Our intake asks only the high-level facts: the kind of help you need, your state and county, a rough estate value range, and how to reach you. No documents, no account numbers, nothing sensitive. It's free, and it stays free for you — always.
2. Every subscribing firm in your state is notified at the same moment.
Your request — anonymized, without your name or contact details — goes simultaneously to every law firm in our network that covers your state. No firm gets a head start. No firm is featured, promoted, ranked, or preferred. We do not decide who should have your case, and we never will.
3. The first firm to claim it gets it. That's the whole rule.
The single, neutral criterion that decides which attorney contacts you is speed: the first licensed attorney to claim your request is the one connected with you — exclusively. The moment they claim it, an introduction email goes to you in their name, and your reply goes straight to their inbox. We chose this rule because responsiveness is the thing people hiring a lawyer say they want most — and because it leaves no room for favoritism, pay-for-placement, or hidden rankings.
4. If it isn't a fit, your request goes back to the pool.
A few days after a firm claims your request, we check in with you directly by email. If you tell us you haven't been able to connect with the firm, or the firm determines it can't help, we reopen your request to every covering firm — so a request never quietly dies in someone's inbox.
What we are — and what we are not.
Law firms pay Closewell a flat monthly subscription for access to these alerts. That fee never depends on whether you hire anyone, what you agree to pay your attorney, or how any matter turns out. Closewell never takes a share of legal fees — your financial relationship is entirely and only with your attorney.
